Unforgettable Day in the Lake District – Outstanding Guided Tour! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
If you only have one day to experience the beauty of the Lake District, booking with Lake District Scene Tours is an absolute must. Our entire day was incredible from start to finish, thanks to John. As a local with deep, generational knowledge of the area, he brought every landscape and hidden corner to life with captivating stories and history you simply won’t find in a guide book (he even recited poetry for us!). Beyond his expertise, John’s hospitality is second to none. He went above and beyond with warm, thoughtful touches throughout the day that made us feel truly cared for and welcomed. He seamlessly fit so much stunning scenery into a single day without it ever feeling rushed. It was easily the most memorable day of our trip—we cannot recommend Lake District Scene Tours and John highly enough! Outstanding tour of the Lakes
My family & I enjoyed an outstanding tour of the Lake district with our guide, John. He drove us, in the comfort of his luxury car, to the most beautiful places, with stunning views of the Lakes & surrounding fells. John was very knowledgeable about the area & shared many interesting facts & anecdotes, all delivered with much enthusiasm & wit. The tour was very well organised. John knew all the best places to stop for refreshments & rest rooms & was very accommodating for any dietary needs. It was a most memorable tour, made special by a great guide. Highly recommend!
My friends and I spent a wonderful day exploring the Lake District with John from Lake District Scene Tours, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. Outstanding Private Lake District Tour!
What a wonderful, brilliant tour of the Lake District! John customized the tours based on my interests. His depth of knowledge is outstanding - he's a true native son. He arranged for many private tours, including Hilltop Farm (Beatrix Potter's Farm). A visit to the Westmoreland Show (county fair) was a real down home treat. Checked out the livestock judging (cows, pigs, dogs and of course sheep), the yummy food stalls and beautiful crafts. The Lake District area is astonishingly beautiful and ever changing. Great private tour guide for Lake District
John offered great custom tours of the Lake District of England. The vehicle was comfortable for 4 adults and John provided refreshments to order. He provided flexibility for our crew. We should have done some prior research ourselves so that we could spend time in the cute towns. Ambleside and Grassmere seem to have some good browsing opportunities. A perfect tour!
John was a wonderfully attentive host throughout. From the professional pre-tour communications and arrangements, to the doorstep pickup, and onto the beautiful lakes and fells, we were given a truly unique and luxurious tour. A recital of Wordsworth on the shores a Ullswater, a private gin tasting experience on the shores of Derwentwater, and more sacred and secret viewpoints than you can dream of, were just a sample of the highlights.
